Web Registration Procedures

To register for an APICS exam via Promissor's registration website,

visit http://www.promissor.com.

On the first screen of the site, under the option "Find a Test",

candidates should select "Professional Certification Exams" and then

select "APICS, The Educational Society for Resource Management" from the drop-down menu of various testing programs.

Candidates who have registered online before will notice that the

website's appearance has changed and that the new registration site for Promissor is supported by the CAT Global system.

After selecting the APICS program, candidates should click on the "Exam Registration Services" (pdf file) link. Instructions on how to enter the ID and Password, which will be required on the next screen, are provided. In summary, the ID is "APICS" followed by your APICS ID number and the password should be your APICS ID number. So for example, if your ID number is 1234567, you would enter

ID:  APICS1234567

Password: 1234567

Note that the Promissor registration system expects "APICS" followed by a 7-digit APICS ID number. If your APICS ID number is only six digits long, please add a "0" before the six digit number.

After candidates review the ID and password instructions, they should

click on the "APICS Exam Registration Page" link to proceed to the ID and Password entry screen.

ID Number/Password Not Recognized

If Promissor does not have your APICS record on file, you will receive

the following message: "Either the ID or password you entered is not in our files." At this point, you must contact APICS. If your APICS ID

number is not already at Promissor, the system cannot process your

registration. Candidates should not select "create an account", which is one of the options that may be displayed to you. The "account" that is created through this option does not support the APICS program.

If your APICS ID number is not at Promissor, the system will not

recognize your login and you must contact APICS to have your records sent before you can register. Call APICS Customer Support at 800-444-2742 or 703-534-8851, or send an email to service@apicshq.org. Once we have confirmed your ID number, APICS will send your record to Promissor with the next business day's data transfer.

ID and Password Accepted

After you have successfully entered your ID and password, the only

applicable options for you from the menus on either side of the screen are "My Tasks" from the left-hand menu and "User Info" from the right-hand menu.

To register for an exam, you should choose "schedule a test" under "My Tasks" from the left-hand menu. You can also choose to "view your schedule" or to view your "test records" under the "My Tasks" option if you have already made a test reservation.

When you choose "schedule a test", you will be prompted by a series of drop-down menus to indicate the APICS program and the test for which you wish to register. You will also be prompted to select the country and city where you wish to test, and then the test center you choose to test in.  There is a test site in Glendale, CA. It is the Glendale ASI Center, 213 N. Orange Street, Suite D, Glendale, CA 91203. After selecting the test center, you will be asked to select the month in which you wish to test. Once you have selected the month, the dates and times available for that test center are displayed. Once you have selected the date and time, you will be asked to confirm the registration or to cancel and return to the home page. If you confirm the scheduling request, you will then complete the payment information requested.

Payment by Voucher

If you have an APICS Voucher that is not accepted by the Promissor web site, please contact APICS Customer Support for assistance at

800-444-2742 or 703-534-8851. Or send an email to service@apicshq.org

When your payment information is completed and processed, full

information on your appointment, test center address and directions, and reporting time will be displayed. Candidates should print a copy of this information for future reference and for their records.

Confirmations

In order to receive email confirmation of your registration or cancellation, select "Update Account" using the right-hand menu. Very few of the APICS candidate records currently at Promissor contain an email address. If you choose "Update Account" and provide the requested information, including your email address, the system can email your confirmation to you.

IEM Eligibility

If your record does not indicate that you are eligible to take the IEM

exam, the IEM exam will not be displayed as an option for you to select. If you are eligible and cannot register, please contact APICS Customer Service and we will confirm your status and contact Promissor to update your records to allow you to register.

Cancellations/Reschedules

To cancel or change a registration within the deadlines explained in the CPIM and CIRM Registration Bulletins, candidates should log in to the Promissor site with their ID and password. Candidates should then select "View Schedule" under "My Tasks" from the left-hand menu. The View Schedule option provides you with the opportunity to cancel or change your registration.

More Changes to Come

APICS anticipates additional changes to login procedures for

registrations and as soon as details are available, we will update the

APICS Website and the CPIM and CIRM Registration Bulletins. The changes are currently scheduled to take place in late April or early May.
