President's message

Thank you for visiting the Ventura Chapter's website.

We are starting the 2015-2016 year with a renewed vision statement:

Bring to life at the local level APICS' goal of being the leader in operations and supply chain management by supporting the professional development and growth of members, affiliates, customers and the economic well being of the business community and local industry.

We are not alone in this effort. We are partnering with important organizations such as the University of La Verne and the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce.

With the University of La Verne we are working on the APICS-BOK courses. We are starting with the basic CPIM and CSCP certification review courses, but we are planning on expanding our methods and offerings. Be sure to review the Education page from time to time.

With the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce we are looking at opportunities to engage with companies and as our vision states, work toward supporting the economic well being of the business community and local industry.

Over the years, several members of the Board of Directors have relocated to other areas, or decided they needed to dedicate time to their work or personal challenges. I want to take a moment to thank all the past board members that at the time, have dedicated their time and energy to fulfill the Chapter's vision and mission.

Looking into the future, we are engaging in a recruiting effort to bring new members to the Board of Directors to keep up with the growing demands of serving an active Chapter. If you have ever consider joining the Board, this is the time to do it!

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to express our renewed commitment of bringing locally the best what APICS has to offer to all our members and support the business community and local industry

Sincerely,

 -  Victor Granados, CC, CPIM
