Master Scheduler at TriSep Corporation

Job summary:

The Master Scheduler will perform a variety of complex scheduling activities required to achieve production objectives. Will act as liaison between sales, sales administration, purchasing, manufacturing and operations to facilitate and ensure the most efficient use of available capacity and resources. Will be responsible and accountable for the establishing and monitoring of production schedules designed to maximize output and profitability and to achieve customer and forecasted requirements.

 Performance Dimensions and Tasks:

  • Acts as primary contact/liaison between production, purchasing, operations, inventory control, sales and sales administration for determining the master production schedule necessary to meet the needs and time requirements of the customer and forecasted demand models.
  • Optimizes capacity and on-time delivery through effective capacity requirements planning.
  • Reviews the master production schedule daily to adjust for changes in customer requirements/demand, modifications to forecast requirements, delayed receipt of raw materials, availability of production equipment and/or labor capacity.
  • Analyzes problem situations and rearranges master production schedule to accommodate such situations, reports status of current production and material deficiencies and keeps sales, sales administration, operation and manufacturing management informed of required build plan adjustments and the potential business impact.
  • Will monitor and accurately report production status using available software tools. Follows-up on actual vs. scheduled production and adjusts build plans to accommodate unforeseen conditions.
  • Will participate in sales department forecast meetings and/or discussions, will review marketing forecasts and identify trends and translate the sales forecast into usable data for the master schedule.
  • Uses professional judgment and coordinates with purchasing to obtain and schedule materials based on master schedule requirements and refined analysis of materials requirements planning data.

 Job Specifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 – 10 years experience
  • Must posses a detailed understanding of the strategies related to demand management, material requirements planning (MRP), capacity requirements planning (CRP), master scheduling, sales and operations planning at a level typically demonstrated through  Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) APICS.
  • APICS certified preferred
  • Microsoft Project
