Fluidigm has an immediate need for a Senior Master Scheduler to lead Fluidigm’s demand forecasting function in process, technology, and discipline.

You Will:
  • Create forecasts for new and existing products and communicate supply requirements to the appropriate stakeholders on a regular and consistent basis
  • Develop and continually improve the methodologies, technologies and analytics used to estimate, consolidate and report commercial demand
  • Benchmark and set KPI targets for inventory turns, months-on-hand and order fulfillment
  • Streamline data collection and communication processes to eliminate redundancies, minimize errors while improving overall forecast accuracy
  • Work closely with global manufacturing and purchasing teams to optimize production and inventory levels
  • Partner with the finance organization to link the demand planning process and data with financial forecasts
  • Identify new demand and supply forecasting techniques or technologies to improve the overall SIOP process
  • Track variances to plan and recommend the appropriate adjustments to the inventory plan as required to meet business objectives

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • Experience in Product Forecasting - relevant SKU and Pricing Forecast
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Business planning 
  • Strong / Expert level Spreadsheet data table management, Financial Modeling desirable
  • Direct experience in Demand and Supply Planning and SIOP
  • Strong ability to Establish and Improve Processes
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Life science industry experience a plus
  • Super user hand on experience of ERP Software for example SAP, Microsoft AX, Expandable
  • Ability to work with multi BOM level configurations
  • Ability to drive projects to closure
  • Ability to lead and present data at both tactical and executive levels
  • Hands on experience with Microsoft word, excel, power point
  • Ability to review, update and write planning procedures
  • Experience working with international manufacturing site
    • Drive the following tasks on a daily, weekly and monthly bases to support customer satisfaction:
    • Receive annual operating plan
    • Develop Annual Supply plan for each site
    • Communicate supply plan to Finance, Commercial and each manufacturing site for approval- (To drive budget / Capacity Planning)
    • Obtain delivery commitments from each manufacturing site
    • Manage the on-time delivery from factories at the finish goods level
    • Conduct Monthly SIOPS meetings with cross functional teams to adjust and communicate up to date supply plan based on the latest forecast
    • Regular communication with Product Marketing, commercial and customer service teams to support customer requirements.
    • Deploy finish good inventory to distribution channels
    • North America, Europe and south-east Asia.
    • Manage inventory levels and E&O

Description and Responsibilities
 
Under the general supervision of the Director of Operations, the Purchasing Manager consistently assumes appropriate inventory levels to ensure both industry-leading customer service levels and the agility to respond quickly to new opportunities without compromising CMC’s optimal use of capital. This position is responsible for developing and managing key supplier relationships, and for creating needed infrastructure for all purchasing activities, while monitoring and reporting supply chain KPIs company-wide.

Skills,Knowledge and Abilities
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Must have proven inventory and production planning experience
  • Experience with logistics supervision required
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills are required, with the ability to interact and work effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Manufacturing background is required
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem resolution skills for supply chain issues
  • Extensive user knowledge of ERP Systems and/or other Planning Systems
  • Strong computers skills, including Word and Excel, are required
 
Qualifications (Education and experience)
  • Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management or Operations Management is preferred
  • APICS Certification is preferred
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment with responsibility for production planning, supplier management, and sustained product supply
